The Club offers its members a safe and structured framework for getting on the water, for building skills and confidence, for having fun and enjoying the wonders of our marine environment.

EQUIPMENT ACCESS

Thanks to an agreement with the Rathmullan Sailing and Water Sports School, the Club will have regularly scheduled access to the school’s dinghies, safety boat, wetsuits and flotation devices.

EVENTS AND SOCIAL CALENDAR

We have an active year planned — open sails with safety boat coverage, day cruises and outings, dinghy regattas and racing, social and family events.

GROUP PURCHASE SCHEMES

The Club offers members the opportunity to save on insurance and equipment costs by enabling them to negotiate bulk purchase prices with suppliers. Members will also be able to avail of reduced mooring fees for the Rathmullan pontoon.

COURSES AND TRAINING

Navigation, water safety, first aid, VHF radio use, the fundamentals of dinghy racing, basic boat and motor maintenance – the list of courses we’ll be organising for our members is limited only by their interests.

LOBBYING AND ADVOCACY

Access to shore-based facilities such as boathouses and equipment storage has long been an impediment to the pursuit of water sports on Lough Swilly. The Club will be working to represent the interests of water sports enthusiasts and act as a strong voice for the speedy development of these badly needed facilities.

ISA MEMBERSHIP

As a member of the Rathmullan Sailing and Water Sports Club, you will also become a member of the Irish Sailing Association (ISA), the governing body for all forms of boating in Ireland.
